Does blurring the video affect your audio?
No. The blur is applied to the video frames. Your exported MP4 keeps the audio with the clip.
Why does the video need to be re-encoded after blur?
A blur changes the pixels in every frame, so the video track cannot simply be copied. GrepCut renders the changed frames again and exports an H.264 MP4.
What blur strength should you choose?
Use a low value for subtle softening and a high value for a heavy abstract background. The preview is the safest guide because the right setting depends on your footage.
What video formats can you add?
